Thank you to everyone who made the 2007 event a HUGE success!!

The 3rd annual, 2008 Polar Bear Plunge wil take place January 26, 2008. The weather last year was seasonal and colder than the year before, but still not too bad. It seems the real deep freeze waited until we were finished.

By all accounts, the Plunge was once again considered an overwhelming success; with 8 swimmers and net contributions exceeding $5,000.

While we had hoped for a few more participants, the hearty swimmers who did participate this year were by far, some of the most productive.
Plunges like this often generate less than $200 net proceeds per person, so at ~$400 per person, everyone involved and supporting this event should be proud of their result.

The efforts of the Northville Kiwanis club, community services like Northville Fire and Rescue, Planet Fitness Health Club, and the many generous sponsors and participants made the dream of holding our own Plunge a reality.

We're excited you are interested in the Plunge. Adults from all walks of life participate and everyone has a great time – even those who mange to stay out of the water.
